Mosaics

— Material-led practice

Proportion and form are the subject

The artist enjoys creating mosaics by carefully arranging colorful pieces of broken dishes and other materials into unique designs and patterns. The process combines creativity, patience, and attention to detail as each piece is selected and placed to contribute to the overall image. She loves experimenting with different colors, shapes, and textures to create visually striking artwork that captures light and adds depth. Making mosaics allows her to transform simple materials into beautiful, lasting pieces of art that express creativity and craftsmanship.

One studio, one palette

The same colors run through every medium

The earth tones and slate greys in the mosaics are material decisions made in the same space as the baskets and paintings. The work is in conversation across the studio.
